Ο πολιτιστικός Οργανισμός Culture Book Patras Foundation Poetry υπηρετεί και προβάλλει με το έργο του σε διεθνές επίπεδο την Ελληνική λογοτεχνία.
Με δράσεις τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και στο εξωτερικό καθόλη τη διάρκεια του έτους συνομιλεί με την Ελληνική λογοτεχνική παραγωγή.
Δημιουργεί και υπερασπίζει δράσεις οι οποίες με διάφορους τρόπους επικοινωνούν με τους λάτρεις της Ελληνικής Λογοτεχνίας σε 50 χώρες ανά τον κόσμο.
Ο Πολιτιστικός Οργανισμός Culture Book Patras Foundation Poetry με τις δράσεις του συνομιλεί με τον Ελληνικό Πολιτισμό με συνέργειες και συνεργασίες με Πανεπιστημιακά Ιδρύματα όπως το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών, το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο, το Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας αλλά και με έδρες Νεοελληνικών Σπουδών σε πανεπιστήμια του εξωτερικού.
Συνδιοργανώνει πλήθος δράσεων με την Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας, την Αιγίδα και την στήριξη του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού, του Υπουργείου Εξωτερικών, του Υπουργείου Τουρισμού, την στήριξη της Περιφερειακής Ένωσης Δήμων Δυτικής Ελλάδας ενώ έχει αξιωθεί σε δράσεις του να έχει την Αιγίδα της Προεδρίας της Δημοκρατίας.
Ταυτόχρονα με τη συνεργασία της Greek Library of London επικοινωνεί άμεσα με το ελληνόφωνο κοινό που διαμένει στο UK.
Βρίσκεται σε άμεση επαφή με πρεσβείες και ιδρύματα πολιτισμού ξένων χωρών στη χώρα μας και με τη συνεργασία τους προτείνει την Ελληνική λογοτεχνία σε αυτές τις χώρες.
Σε ετήσια βάση υπηρετεί τους θεσμούς που έχει δημιουργήσει και είναι :

Ενώ σε καθημερινή βάση προτείνει την Ελληνική και την Ξένη λογοτεχνία μέσα από τις “σελίδες” του ηλεκτρονικού περιοδικού Culturebook.gr σε αναγνώστες 50 χωρών.
Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης Πάτρας
Στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης Πάτρας πραγματοποιείται με μεγάλη επιτυχία κάθε Σεπτέμβρη, με ένα σύνολο καινοτόμων και πολυεπίπεδων δράσεων που συμπεριλαμβάνουν εκτός από την ποίηση που αποτελεί πάντα το κέντρο του και άλλες μορφές της σύγχρονης τέχνης που συνομιλούν τόσο μεταξύ τους, όσο και με τους πολυάριθμους θεατές που το παρακολουθούν. Για την πραγματοποίησή του συνεργάζονται άψογα μεταξύ τους τόσο η επιστημονική και η πολυμελής οργανωτική επιτροπή όσο και επαγγελματίες από διάφορους τομείς, πάντα με την αεικίνητη και ουσιαστική παρουσία του Προέδρου του Γραφείου Ποιήσεως Αντώνη Σκιαθά και των φορέων της διοργάνωσης Γραφείον Ποιήσεως, culturebook.gr, Επίκεντρο Συν Πάτρας, Cube Gallery και σύμφωνα με τα παγκόσμια πρότυπα των Διεθνών Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης.
7o Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης Πάτρας
I had a dream, which was not all a dream | Είχα ένα όνειρο, που δεν ήταν καθόλου όνειρο

Το 7ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης Πάτρας θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 10 έως και τις 22 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024. Η φετινή χρονιά είναι η επέτειος της συμπλήρωσης 200 χρόνων από τον θάνατο του ποιητή Λόρδου Βύρωνα στο Μεσολόγγι και αποτελεί το κεντρικό θέμα του φεστιβάλ.
Οι δράσεις του Φεστιβάλ θα πραγματοποιηθούν σε όλη την διάρκεια της χρονιάς και θα κορυφωθούν τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2024, τόσο σε πόλεις της Δυτικής Ελλάδας, όσο και στην Αθήνα.
Όπως κάθε χρόνο, έτσι και φέτος, ο ποιητικός λόγος θα συνομιλήσει με τις άλλες τέχνες μέσα από πολυεπίπεδες δράσεις, με την μουσική, τα εικαστικά και το θέατρο.
Θα φιλοξενηθούν ποιητές και ποιήτριες από 20 χώρες του κόσμου, με σκοπό να συνομιλήσουν με την ποίηση και τα οράματα του Βύρωνα.
Οι δράσεις του Φεστιβάλ θα πραγματοποιηθούν και σε ιστορικά τοπόσημα της Δυτικής Ελλάδας από όπου πέρασε και έζησε ο Λόρδος Βύρωνας, ενώ για τους ποιητές και τις ποιήτριες που θα συμμετάσχουν στο 7ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης Πάτρας έχει ήδη προγραμματιστεί η επίσκεψή τους σε σχολεία της περιοχής.
Ο πολυχώρος της Αγοράς Αργύρη θα φιλοξενήσει την έναρξη του Φεστιβάλ και το ομότιτλο σημαντικό art project με την συμμετοχή ελλήνων και ξένων καλλιτεχνών.
Στο θέατρο Επίκεντρο+ θα πραγματοποιηθεί το αναλόγιο ποίησης με δραματοποιημένα ποιήματα των συμμετεχόντων.
Ενδεικτικά, οι δράσεις θα γίνουν σε εμβληματικούς χώρους του 19ου αιώνα, όπως η Βίλα Κόλλα, το Οινόκαστρο της Αχάϊα Κλάους, η Οικία Περιβολαρόπουλου, ο Κήπος Ηρώων στο Μεσολόγγι και αλλού.
Έχει προγραμματισθεί η έκδοση της δίγλωσσης Ανθολογίας (ελληνικά και αγγλικά) με τα ποιήματα του Φεστιβάλ, όπως και στρογγυλές τράπεζες με θεματικές ενότητες που αφορούν την ποιητική τέχνη.
Σε μία από αυτές θα λάβουν μέρος διευθυντές και διευθύντριες μεγάλων ευρωπαϊκών φεστιβάλ για να συνομιλήσουν για την σύγχρονη εποχή των φεστιβάλ ποίησης.
Το Φεστιβάλ υποστηρίζει επικοινωνιακά η ΕΡΤ ΑΕ, ο όμιλος της Εφημερίδας “Πελοπόνησσος”, το culturebook.gr και άλλα μέσα.
Ενδεικτικά, ανάμεσα στους υποστηρικτές του Φεστιβάλ είναι η Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας, ο Δήμος Πατρέων, ο Δήμος Μεσολογγίου, η Περιφερειακή Ένωση Δήμων Δυτικής Ελλάδας, το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών, το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο, το Ίδρυμα Ελληνική Διασπορά, το Τσέχικο Κέντρο Πολιτισμού και άλλοι φορείς.
Το Φεστιβάλ τελεί υπό την Αιγίδα και την Υποστήριξη του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού.

Patras Foundation Poetry
The Cultural Organisation Culture Book Patras Poetry Foundation serves and showcases Greek literature on an international level through its work.
With activities both in Greece and abroad throughout the year, it engages with Greek literary production.
The Foundation creates and defends in various ways activities that communicate with advocates of Greek Literature in 50 countries around the world.
The Cultural Organisation Culture Book Patras Foundation Poetry, through its activities, converses with Greek Culture, cooperating and collaborating with academic institutions such as the University of Patras, the Hellenic Open University, the University of Western Macedonia, as well as with departments of Modern Greek Studies at universities abroad.
It co-organises a multitude of activities with Western Greece County, under the auspices and support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the support of the Regional Union of Municipalities of Western Greece, and has been honoured in its activities to have the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic
Simultaneously, in collaboration with the Greek Library of London, the foundation directly communicates with the Greek-speaking community residing in the United Kingdom.
The foundation is in direct contact with embassies and cultural institutions of foreign countries in Greece, and through their cooperation, promotes Greek literature in these countries.
On an annual basis, it serves the institutions it has established, which are:
- The Poetry Office
- The ‘Jean Moréas’ International Poetry Awards
- The Patras World Poetry Festival
On a daily basis, the foundation promotes Greek and foreign literature through the “pages” of its online magazine Culturebook.gr to readers in 50 countries.
Patras World Poetry Festival
The Patras International Poetry Festival is held with great success every September, featuring a range of innovative and multi-dimensional activities. These activities include, beyond poetry which always remains at the core, other forms of contemporary art that converse both with each other as well as with the numerous spectators – members of public. The festival is organised through the impeccable collaboration of both the scientific and the extensive organising committee, as well as professionals and entrepreneurs from various fields, always under the tireless and substantive presence of Antonis Skiathas, President of the Poetry Office, and the organising bodies: Poetry Office, culturebook.gr, Epikentro Syn Patras, Cube Gallery, in accordance with the global standards of International Poetry Festivals.
7th Patras World Poetry Festival

The 7th Patras International Poetry Festival will be held from the 10th to the 22nd of September 2024. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the death of the poet Lord Byron in Missolonghi, which is the central theme of the festival. The festival’s activities will take place throughout the year and will culminate in September 2024, in cities of Western Greece, as well as in Athens.
As every year, this year too, the poetic discourse will engage with other arts through multi-dimensional activities, including music, visual arts, and theatre. Poets and poetesses from 20 countries around the world will be hosted, with the aim of engaging in dialogue with poetry and the visions of Byron.
The activities of the Festival will also take place at historical landmarks in Western Greece, where Lord Byron passed through and lived. For the poets and poetesses participating in the 7th Patras International Poetry Festival, a visit to local schools in the area has already been planned.
The multi-space of Agora Argiri will host the opening of the Festival and the significant eponymous art project, with the participation of Greek and foreign artists. At the Epikentro+ theatre, a poetry stand will feature dramatised poems by the participants.
Indicatively, the activities will be held in emblematic 19th-century locations, such as Villa Kolla, the Wine Castle of Achaia Clauss, the Perivolaropoulos House, the Garden of Heroes in Missolonghi, and elsewhere.
The festival plans to publish a bilingual Anthology (Greek and English) with poems, as well as the roundtable discussions with thematic units concerning the art of poetry. One of these roundtables will involve directors of major European festivals to discuss the contemporary era of poetry festivals.
The Festival is supported in communications by ERT SA, the newspaper group “Peloponnisos”, culturebook.gr, and other media. Indicatively, among the supporters of the Festival are the Region of Western Greece, the Municipality of Patras, the Municipality of Missolonghi, the Regional Union of Municipalities of Western Greece, the University of Patras, the Hellenic Open University, the Foundation of the Hellenic Diaspora, the Czech Centre of Culture, and other bodies.
The Festival is under the Auspices and Support of the Ministry of Culture.
