Μόνο οἱ κουρτίνες
Πεσμένα φτερά ἑνός κουρασμένου οὐρανοῦ
Ἦταν ἀκόμα κρεμασμένες ἐκεῖ
Κάθετοι κῆποι
Μέ ἀνθισμένα πάνω τους τά βογκητά
Πού κάποτε σκαρφάλωναν ὡς ἐκεῖ
Σάν ὁμοιοκαταληξίες ὑποσχέσεων.
I don’t know what became of the walls, the wood and the glass.
Only the curtains
Fallen feathers of a weary sky
Were still hanging there.
Vertical gardens,
Flowering with the moans
That once crawled all the way up,
Like rhymes of promises.
