La signora delle pietre

I suoi passi hanno attraversato la sera
e la terra consumata dal sole
e dalla pioggia
per un istante una luce
subito in fuga
saluta la signora delle pietre
abita nella casa circondata
da campi da strade strette
da file di alberi
nel suo giardino ci sono
statue di marmo
di roccia rosata di
Borgogna
la signora ora è sempre seduta
le mani si muovono appena eppure
è lei che ha dato forma
alla pietra
è lei che ha creato corpi
e animali
la tartaruga che attraversa
lenta il tempo
che porta la mappa di paesi
sulla schiena
il cavallo che correva sull’acqua
gli amanti che hanno perso
il confine del corpo nell’amore
la donna col capo nascosto
nelle braccia
a custodire il sogno
e lei la signora
che non poteva levigare
il suo dolore
l’ha messo nella pietra
ha messo lui
così duro
così tenace
dentro ai cuori di pietra
allora un poco del suo dolore
le ha voltato le spalle
non voleva lui il dolore
essere vinto dalla pietra
la signora sorride
pensa che sia poca cosa
quello che ha fatto
accarezzare la pietra
lottare con la pietra
trasformare
le lacrime in gocce di sudore
che la pietra le chiedeva
per arrendersi
alle sue mani
le figure di pietra
hanno oltrepassato il confine
del silenzio
ora ascolti?
sussurrano le figure di pietra
la loro rivolta all’immobilità
in loro d’un tratto
immagini nascoste si muovono
una processione di immagini
scampate alla morte
così le mani della signora
le ha obbligate ad esistere
immobili dicono
dell’attesa che porta il tempo
l’immobilita le rende vive
e ad un tratto il mare.

The Lady of Stones

Her steps have crossed the evening
and the earth worn down by sun
and by rain
for an instant a light
fleeing at once
greets the lady of stones
she lives in the house surrounded
by fields by narrow roads
by rows of trees
in her garden there are
marble statues
of rosy rock from
Burgundy
the lady now is always seated
her hands barely move and yet
it is she who gave shape
to stone
it is she who created bodies
and animals
the tortoise that crosses
slowly through time
carrying the map of countries
on her back
the horse that ran on water
the lovers who lost
the border of the body in love
the woman with her head hidden
in her arms
keeping watch over the dream
and she, the lady
who could not smooth away
her pain
put it into the stone
so hard
so stubborn
inside the hearts of stone
and then a little of her pain
turned its back on her
the pain did not want
to be conquered by the stone
the lady smiles
she thinks it is a small thing
what she has done
to caress the stone
to wrestle with the stone
to transform
tears into drops of sweat
that the stone demanded of her
before surrendering
to her hands
the figures of stone
have crossed the border
of silence
do you hear them now?
the stone figures whisper
their revolt against stillness
within them all at once
hidden images stir
a procession of images
escaped from death
and so the lady’s hands
have bound them into being
motionless, they speak
of the waiting that time carries
their stillness makes them alive
and then, all at once, the sea.

και τη γη
της
πριν
τώρα;
