The Poet

Victoria Gerontasiou was born in Athens, followed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Communication and Mass Media at the University of Athens and has a master’s degree in “Literature and Arts” at the University of Poitiers in France. Her poems have been published in the French poetry magazines “Poésie Première”, “Comme en Poésie” and “Les Carnets d’Eucharis”, while she has collaborated as a journalist with the scientific magazine “L’actualité Nouvelle-Aquitaine”. In Greece, she has collaborated with the magazines Thraca, Apoplous and Ta Poiitika. She was nominated for two awards of emerging poet, the first one from the literature magazine O Anagnostis and the second one from the Greek Writers’ Society, for her book Little Storms, Thraca editions 2018.

Η Βικτωρία Γεροντάσιου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα, έκανε προπτυχιακές σπουδές στο τμήμα Επικοινωνίας και Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και μεταπτυχιακό με τίτλο «Λογοτεχνία και τέχνη » στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Poitiers της Γαλλίας. Ποιήματά της έχουν δημοσιευτεί στα γαλλικά περιοδικά ποίησης«Poésie Première», «Comme en Poésie» και «Les Carnets d’Eucharis», ενώ έχει συνεργαστεί ως δημοσιογράφος με το επιστημονικό περιοδικό« L’actualité Nouvelle-Aquitaine ». Στην Ελλάδα, έχει συνεργαστεί με τα περιοδικά Θράκα, Απόπλους και Τα Ποιητικά. Ήταν προτεινόμενη για το βραβείο πρωτοεμφανιζόμενου ποιητή του περιοδικού Αναγνώστης και της Εταιρείας Συγγραφέων για το βιβλίο Μικρές Καταιγίδες, εκδόσεις Θράκα 2018.
